What Ayurveda Says About Skin and Haircare

As per Ayurvedic philosophy, the body is made up of the basic elements of the universe called doshas which are primarily responsible for the mental as well as physical processes taking place in each individual. It is believed that the root cause of skin problems is an imbalance in the doshas. The three doshas or constituents are Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.

Vata: Vata skin is often dry and has tiny pores. This skin type is prone to excessive dryness, age spots, wrinkles, and blackheads when there is an imbalance. The Vata hair type is naturally wavy. It appears to be dull and lackluster. This hair is generally very thin and rough in texture, and it quickly tangles. Extreme dryness, dandruff, broken ends, and breakage will result from an imbalance.

Pitta: Pitta skin is defined as sensitive and combination, with T zone parts that are greasy and prone to acne and pimples. The skin turns oilier when there is an imbalance. Pitta dominant hair is distinguished by a smooth and delicate texture that is frequently greasy. This type of hair is vulnerable to increased oiliness, early balding, and greying when it is out of balance.

Kapha: The Kapha skin type is often greasy. Excess oiliness, cystic acne, blackheads, and clogged pores are all symptoms of an imbalance. Because it is long, shiny, and thick, the Kapha hair type turns everybody jealous. An imbalance will cause the scalp and hair roots to become greasy, while the ends will become dry and brittle.

Ayurvedic Treatments for Skin and Hair

Ayurvedic skincare revolves around maintaining the balance in the three doshas by adopting a healthy lifestyle along with deterring the use of chemical-based products for your skin and hair care. Products that give strength, moisture, and austere to the skin are great for Vata skincare. To counteract the heat, a proper Pitta skincare program should include cooling and relaxing plants. Herbs and other compounds that have a  warming, austere, and detoxifying impact on the skin will be included in a good Kapha skincare program.

Natural ingredients can be used to exfoliate and cleanse the skin. It is best to avoid items that include chemicals. The usage of hair oil aids in the nourishment of the hair. Drinking enough water aids in hydrating and nourishing the skin along with making your internal organs active and kicking.

In conclusion, learning about Ayurvedic beauty therapy can work wonders for sustaining your own health as well as that of your loved ones, on top of being a great career option. The Ayurveda online course allows you to attain this dream in the comfort of your home.
